About
Welcome to Yoshi, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. Located at 5827 Avenue T, this intimate sushi restaurant is quickly making a name for itself thanks to its exceptional offerings and warm atmosphere. With friendly staff consistently delivering top-notch service, Yoshi is more than just a place to eat; it's a dining experience that lingers in your memory, much like the flavors on your plate.
As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I can't help but highlight the restaurant's impressive menu. Yoshi showcases a delectable array of sushi and sashimi a la carte, with prices starting at just $2.25. The Spicy Lobster and Spicy Tuna rolls are fans' favorites, each bringing a delightful kick that titillates the taste buds. The quality of the fish is commendable, with generous portions of salmon and tuna featured prominently in their rolls—a detail that has not gone unnoticed by patrons like Jane Groysman, who appreciated the abundant seafood.
A visit to Yoshi is incomplete without indulging in their Deluxe Combo Boxes. The Steak Teriyaki Combo Box, served with a California roll, five pieces of shumai, and a green salad alongside miso soup, exemplifies the thoughtful assembly of flavors and textures that Yoshi is renowned for. At $19.95, the price reflects not only the portion size but also the richness of the dishes, which leave you satisfied without the heaviness that typically accompanies such meals.
One of my personal highlights from the menu is the Yaki Udon, especially the Shrimp Yaki Udon at $12.95. Each bite is perfectly stir-fried and comes alive with a medley of ingredients that make every mouthful an adventure. Whether you opt for the beef, chicken, or seafood variations, the Yaki Udon proves to be a fulfilling choice that complements the lighter sushi options seamlessly.
The ambiance at Yoshi is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect retreat for both casual dining and special occasions. As noted by regulars like Franklin Ramos, the welcoming atmosphere fosters a sense of community, and being treated to complimentary sake is a delightful touch that adds to the allure of becoming a regular here.
In summary, Yoshi is more than just a sushi restaurant; it's a culinary haven that marries quality, service, and a distinctive charm all in one place. If you're in the Brooklyn area and craving authentic sushi, head over to Yoshi—you won’t be disappointed. Every visit promises not just a meal but a memorable experience, with flavors that will keep you coming back for more.
“ I go here with my good friend Kim, they r the sweetest people and the food is amazing. This is the fried rice minus egg and the Udin which was pleasantly surprise. I love the veggie rolls and seaweed salad. Place is always very clean and cozy ”
“ I love going to this place with my friends and family. The food is great and the staff is always welcoming. Become a regular and they will throw you some saki on the house! ”
“ Came because we were in the mood for sushi. The people are extremely nice and helpful with their suggestions. We started off with the seafood soup. Excellent. The snow-white roll and the dragon king roll were outstanding. Couldn't recommend them enough. The flavors co-mingled perfectly. We will definitely be coming back again. We came in for an early dinner, so we don't know how busy it gets later in the evening. There's only 4 or 5 tables, so if you want to dine in, like we did, I'd say go early and enjoy. ”
“ Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I was passing through and wanted some sushi. They are generous with their portioning and included a good amount of fish in their salmon and tuna rolls. ”
“ Yoshi is a very intimate, delicious sushi restaurant. Very comfortable seating! Food is delicious. Service is great! Highly recommend! ”
“ It’s way better food quality than the one on Ave N, tiny place but clean and neat, quiet neighborhood, freshly made and tasty food, they Offer very good amount of foods with fair price, we will go back to them! ”
“ Came here for lunch with a few friends where we all got the 3 roll special which comes with miso soup. Well worth it since the rolls are filling and come with a lot of fish. Everything was delicious and priced fairly. Would definitely come back for a lunch special or order take out from here in the future! ”
“ This is my second experience dining at Yoshi. The first time I dined in and had a great experience with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the flavors of the food so, I decided to order take out. My orders arrived fresh and neatly packed. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and it was delicious and fresh. The miso soup was delicious, fresh and arrived very hot. The 3 Maki Combo (Any 3 Rolls) i had the salmon roll, the spicy tuna (it wasnt spicy) and the california roll I enjoyed all three rolls and have no complaints. Yoshi will be my go to for Japanese/sushi. Side note: Their hibachi is also very good ”
